Every February is American Heart Month. This was started by President Johnson’s Proclamation 3566 in 1964.  The leading cause of death in the United States continues to be cardiovascular disease (CVD), which includes heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), and stroke. Although the rate of death attributable to CVD is decreasing, too few U.S. adults exhibit measures of good cardiovascular health, including adequate physical activity, a healthy diet, and ideal blood pressure. Additionally, more than one in three U.S. adults have at least one type of CVD, and nearly one in three deaths are attributed to CVD.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, yet only one in five American women believes heart disease is her greatest health threat. It's not just a man's disease. Heart disease and stroke kill 1 in 3 women, yet it's 80% preventable.
The Talk title of Dr. Thomas Tzeng is: 地區性成人心臟外科手術的演變

Dr. Jenchen Yang will give talks regarding diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease and current advances in interventional cardiology in the treatment of coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease.  He will also summarized current guidelines regarding hypertension and cholesterol if there is time left at the end.

Dr. Timothy Yeh will discuss the current advances in arrhythmia management and device treatment for congestive heart failure.  His talk will be on implantable cardiac defibrillator, Biventricular pacing and ablation.
