Announcement of Dr.Wei Kao Memorial Scholarships

Dear CESASC Family,

As many of you may know, an important member of the CESASC community, Dr. Wei Kao, passed away on November 2nd, 2023. It was a great loss not just for his family, but also for the entire community.

Dr. Kao was a visionary leader and a true gentleman, who made a substantial impact bridging the scientists and engineers communities in the U.S. and China. In recognition of his exemplary contributions, Dr. Kao was honored with the CESASC 1988 Service Award. In 1989, he was elected President of CESASC and later served as Chairman of the Board in 1991, 1999, and 2009. You can find more information about his life stories in the attachment below.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Marina and Brian Kao, Dr. Kao’s family, for establishing the Dr. Wei Kao Memorial Scholarships within the CESASC Scholarship Foundation, which will continue Dr. Wei Kao’s legacy. Your generous support is greatly appreciated.
